I am a lucky drummer.
I have been working with the most incredible singer/songwriter, "Nethi" for the past year.
And
when thinking about what to write it isn't easy to not make things
super gushy... I don't want it to seem like I'm being biased or
over-stating things, but, Nethi truly is a special talent.
I'll
try to start with a description: With pop sensibilites, commercial
Radio-Hit songs and a voice to die for, Nethi fuses her soul and
energy into the mix to create a fearsome blend of pop, funk, attitude
and pure emotion.
Her lyrics document her life in an unflinching way,
giving some insight into personal struggles and winning triumphs
through some seriously dark times.
Her melodies perfectly deliver
the messages within each song and her vocal performance can range from
subtle beauty all the way to raing aggression and power.
Each
song tells a story and each story is from the heart, with the full album
taking the listened on a journey through Nethi's life and times...
(See,
already I am sounding gushy... I can't help it. The very start of this
post says it all. I feel like the luckiest drummer around.)
So, on December 12th 2025, we finally launched Nethi's band and album to a sold-out crowd in Berlin.
It was amazing.
The crowd...
The vibe...
The everything was simply fantastic.
The only thing I am upset about at
this stage is that, whilst I am the luckiest drummer around, I don't
actually get to watch the show!
I did have super much fun though.
Not
that I wasn't at least a little nervous before the show - it was my
first gig playing acoustic drums for 8 years! But, through the nerves,
and in a big part, by sharing the stage with a group of super talented
musicians, being back on stage did feel like coming home...
I
think I chose to be out of the live music scene for many reasons, but
one of the main ones being the people; finding the right group of people
to make magic happen and also with whom I can enjoy spending time with, is an
extremely rare thing.
But, with Nethi and band I have found the
loveliest group making the best music and performing it all with the
utmost professionalism and enjoyment.
We already made this video (with the band) for one song, and if you check out Nethi's socials you can find more videos and news.
So, what's next?
Well, this is all very new, but, we're already planning on more shows in 2026.
Like I said (twice) already, I feel super lucky right now and I am looking forward to seeing what next year brings 😃
Until then, go listen to the album here:

Until next year, enjoy, happy happiness, big love, and here's to wishing for the big stages...
